“The Lord our God is the one and only Lord

I wonder just how many one and only recipients are in someone’s life? Playing the field might be popular among young love, but when it comes to God’s love—He demands a different approach.

God is our one and our only Lord. This statement in fact embraces our confession to Him upon our acceptance of His saving grace. We confess that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the Living God. We serve one God who is seen in 3 persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Even though we might have great difficulty in grasping a proper understanding of the Trinity, our belief system accepts that which we can not understand because—it is true.

God desires to reach us on different aspects of our lives. He is a loving Father to us, offering salvation free to those who would accept. He provided that free gift in His person of Jesus at Calvary’s cross. And He daily ministers to our needs through the indwelling of His Holy Spirit in our lives as a result of our baptism. (Acts 2:38).

If you give worship to any other than the Lord our God, you are risking the eternal separation from Him. He desires 100% of our relationship. Our love for God is far above any love we count precious on this earth—family, spouses, or children. Our love for God must be the greatest expression of love we can provide.

Prayer Points for the day

1. Thank God for His love for you.

2. Pray those who are on our prayer list and for others you know who are in need of God’s special touch.

3. Pray a prayer of thanksgiving for the blessings He gives to us every day of our lives—family, friends, and those He will bring into your life this day for ministry.
